In a recent post I discussed how my primary business is affiliate marketing. While it’s taken me a few years to make it semi-automated, I still think it’s a great option for people who want to have freedom while running a remote business. As of today, I spend an average of five hours a week on this business. The best part is… it generates a sizeable and predictable amount of income.

Is Affiliate Marketing Right For You?

I honestly feel affiliate marketing is a great business for many people. Especially those who embrace the concept of lifestyle design. [click to continue…]

Here are some more videos from The Adonis Effect. In these three clips, John covers a few of the major questions guys have about losing weight and putting on muscle. While they’re pretty short, they definitely display some of the major myths men have about the “look” that’s most attractive to women.

This is the first of what I’m calling the “30 Day Success Habits Series.” In this monthly column, I’m going to talk about the different behaviors I’m trying to create or eliminate for the next 30 days. The idea here is to give a perspective on what it’s like to try to develop a success habit. Hopefully this series will give you that extra *nudge* to change some of your behaviors.

If you want to know more about this concept, take a look at my post about 30 day success habits. [click to continue…]

Once in a while you come across something that completely changes your life. This happened to me late last year.

While scrolling through Steve Pavlina’s site, I came across his concept of the 30 Day Habit Experiment. His idea is to “test drive” a specific habit for 30 days. Then at the end of this period you make a decision to keep it or not.

As you probably know it’s a challenge to develop (or change) a habit. But if you introduce this concept into your personal growth, it becomes much easier to develop successful habits.

Here’s why… [click to continue…]

Over a week ago I described my professional goals for 2010. In this post I discussed how I was going to spend the majority of the year focusing on “communications.” Specifically I want to improve my writing, speaking, and technology skills.

But goal setting isn’t just about professional growth. I also think it’s important to create challenges that’ll help me grow as a man. This is part of my ‘work hard, play hard’ mantra. So while I’m focusing on my communication skills, I also want to set aside time to work on my personal growth. [click to continue…]

Sometimes I don’t like meeting new people. That’s because after we exchange names I’ll usually get the inevitable question – “So what do you do for a living?” After seven years I still don’t have a response which makes sense to the average cubicle dweller.

Internet Marketing is my usual reply. Unfortunately this answer usually attracts a bunch of follow-up questions. Some are normal. Like “Who are your clients?” or “My computer does ____. Can you fix it?” Some are just plain stupid. Like “Are you a spammer?” or “Do you run a porn site?”

It’s hard to describe what I do for a living because I don’t go to an office. I don’t have any clients. And I don’t have the typical 9 to 5 lifestyle. [click to continue…]

About Steve Scott Site

January 9, 2010

Welcome to the first post of the “Steve Scott Site.” What’s the idea behind this blog?

On this site we’re going to cover “Personal Development and Lifestyle Design for Men.” It’ll be my goal to discuss the many things that have helped improve my own personal success.
