Affiliate Marketing for Beginners in 2012I’m sure you’ve probably used Fiverr.com for different things in your affiliate business.  Odds are you had mixed results.  Some gigs went well and others didn’t.

Fiverr is one of my favorite places to find hidden talent in different areas.  Primarily I use it to get affordable graphic design.

Case in point, last week I bought an eCover gig for my forthcoming Kindle book: “Affiliate Marketing for Beginners in 2012”

The result?

I got back a pretty slick looking image that only cost me a five spot.  (See the above image)

Not bad if you ask me!

I’d say the quality is on par with eBook cover designs you’d get with Odesk or eLance…But at a fraction of the cost!

Now, there is a trick to Fiverr microsourcing for graphics work.  You can’t buy a gig and assume the service provider knows what you want.  Instead, I recommend you use my three-step process for getting great eCover graphics… [click to continue…]

Dealing with Disappointment as an Internet MarketerYou will have things go wrong as an affiliate marketer.

Life does not always go the way we want or expect. Disappointment is a part of life.

Because of this, dealing with disappointment, is one of the best things you can learn as you’re building an Internet business.

Disappointment comes in many shapes and sizes. There are minor disappointments, such as no one responds to a great blog post you spent hours writing.  And there major disappointments, like Google de-lists your primary website.

Disappointment leads to fear and anxiety. It is difficult to be rational and make good choices when you are mired in fear and anxiety. Some people will allow disappointment to crush or cripple them.  They will allow the fear and anxiety of disappointment to beat them.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Use Persuasion with Affiliate MarketingPersuasion is the primary goal of any affiliate marketing campaign.

You’re trying to convince a total stranger to pay for something – Solely based on your opinion.

With affiliate marketing your goal is to influence people.  You’re basically trying to control the way they think and act.

That’s why it’s important to use the persuasion techniques described in Influence by Robert Cialdini.

In this book, Cialdini talks about the six ways to influence people:

  1.  Reciprocation
  2.  Commitment and Consistency
  3. Liking
  4. Social Proof
  5. Authority
  6. Scarcity

You can apply this information in a number of ways.  Today we’ll talk about how to use these persuasion tactics with your affiliate offers. Ultimately, these techniques will lead to more clicks and more sales.  So pay close attention!

I’ll cover each influencer; plus I’ll provide a specific example from a fictional affiliate marketer in the “fitness for men” niche:
