Email Marketing Mastery IconThis is going to be a real short post today.

Why?

Well, I want to tell you about a project I’ve just completed and then link to a page with more details.

A month ago, I decided to write a list of email marketing tips for customers of my “Affiliate Marketing without the Bulls**t” product.

So I wrote…

…Then I wrote some more.

…And then, I wrote a LOT more.

The end result was a mini-information product with over 10,000 words on email marketing tips for increasing click-thru rates and income.  I call it:

Email Marketing Mastery: 45 Ways to Take Your Email Marketing to the Next Level

My customers really like this report.  Plus I’ve received a few emails from people who have taken action on the techniques that I recommend.

Chances are you have heard of Charlie Sheen and his slew of recent troubles and tribulations.  Hopefully this is something that my international followers are clued in about.    I will not bore you with a recap of details.  If you are not up to date you may want to check out this this video.  It is only a snippet of the stuff he has done over the past few weeks.

I have been endlessly captivated by his antics and trying to decide whether they constitute flashes of brilliance or insane ramblings of a madman.  Is Charlie Sheen crazy or crazy like a Fox?

***All of the section headers are direct Charlie Sheen quotes for your reading pleasure.

“The scoreboard doesn’t lie”  “Winning!!”

Two bloggers I really respect have been talking about changes (Alex and Ana) since the PR update.  I have found myself thinking about this a lot too.  I give out a lot of dofollow links in both comments and posts.  I am fine with some PR leakage since I believe PR is becoming less important every day.  That being said I had expected some sort of PR bump when Google updated since I have also done a metric ton of backlinking.  I was quite disappointed to see no movement on the PR front.  I am concerned, but not quaking in my boots.

Anyhow, Alex gives us a great guide to PageRank and some of the issues surrounding Pagerank.

I would like you all to read the article by Ana on about the dofollow program she uses.  I do not want to stop this blog from being dofollow completely.  Actually, no matter what I absolutely will not do that.  Right now I bleed PR because both commentluv and the name link give dofollows.  I am thinking of making Commentluv NoFollow and linking the main link out to user pages( like Ana describes in her article.)  Anyhow make sure to check out the article and let me know what you think.  Your opinions matter to me.

Brankica gives an explanation of the nofollow attribute and discusses what is going on in the blogging world of nofollow and dofollow.

Finally after all of this talk and effort expended on PageRank, we can go back a couple of weeks to where Lisa tells us that PR doesn’t matter that much anyway.  The thing that matters is Sitelinks.  (Which BTW sucks…since I had 5 and they all vanished after I was down for 5 days).Rockstar and Internet Lifestyle

“You’ve read about the goddesses, come on. They’re an international sensation.”

The lovely Lavender Queen points out the fact that comments do not equal sales.

“Most of the time—and this includes naps—I’m an F-18, bro, and I will destroy you in the air, and I will deploy my ordnance to the ground.”

Many blogs have some Adsense embedded as a form of monetization.  It is an easy way to earn a little extra change to keep your blog going.  It will never make you rich but sometimes a little bit extra can help.  For those that do have Adsense on your blog or website, Blog Tyrant lays out some great ways to make some extra money from Adsense.

“Can’t is the cancer of happen”

(I actually really like that quote)

Some people have a hard time making money on their blogs.  I have often said I believe blogging is one of the hardest models to monetize.  It takes a lot of effort before you really begin to turn a profit.  Kiesha gives some great tips on getting a little bit more money from your blog once you monetize.

“I’ve got tiger blood and Adonis DNA.  I’m tired of pretending I’m not special.”

Adam talks about the importance of not regurgitating popular content.  He has some great points… and I am in breach. First of all the Charlie Sheen ”thing “ is one of the most talked about things online right now (watch out for about 140 more internet memes to come out of this in the next few days).

More along the lines of real point of Adams article is the blogging topics that are beaten to death.  Yup! I have done that too!  The PR posts here are great but the topic is D. O. N. E done after all this PR action.  At least until there is NEW information.   I had to do this, though, I will let Charlie explain why…“I am on a drug. It’s called Charlie Sheen.  It’s not available.  If you try it once, you will die.  Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body.”

“I’m extremely old-fashioned, I’m a nobleman, I’m chivalrous. I believe that chivalry is not dead, it’s just been in a coma for a while.”

Paul gives some awesome advice here.  Deadlines help your writing.  Not hinder it.  I always set strict time limits for my writing.  It really does help focus you and drive you to getting things done both well and quickly.

“I am not Bi-polar.  I am Bi-Winning!”

Mark gives us the final word on finding a profitable niche topics.

“I am a peaceful man with bad intentions.”

I have experimented some with using Voice-to-Text using Dragon Speaking Naturally.  It is somewhat quicker than my typing (though there are always errors that need to be corrected).  For something’s it is great, like making lists and goals and sometimes even for blog commenting.  But it really doesn’t work for “real” writing, like eBook and blog posts.  Irving’s post shows why.  The process of writing is not only about getting your thoughts down on paper.  The process of writing is also about clarifying and organizing those thoughts.  Writing helps you think!

“It’s perfect. It’s awesome. Every day is just filled with just wins. All we do is put wins in the record books. We win so radically in our underwear before our first cup of coffee, it’s scary. People say it’s lonely at the top, but I sure like the view.”

Many people get caught up in what has been invested into a project or business.  They do not view it the way it should be and see what the true value.  As Matthew points out,  sometimes the path to success is not the things that are done, but the things that are not done. Creating a “to stop list” can be just as important as a “to do list.”

“I’m tired of pretending I’m not a total freaking Rock Star from Mars.”

Tristan a great download of actionable items.  These are the Blogging goals you need to really rocket your blog success.

I would like to leave you all with one final Sheenism to mull over.

“If the true story was ever told, of course, it would have to be on cable.”

Charlie, if that show ever came on, I would watch every episode…
