Obviously, Aesop didn’t think about affiliate marketing when he wrote the fable, but the principles are easy to recognize.

I think it’s important to recognize your “affiliate marketing type.”

The reason?

This choice will have a huge impact on the success of your affiliate marketing business.

So are you a… [click to continue…]

Death of Niche SitesAt the start of 2012 I decided to test the profitability of niche sites.

I heard a lot of great things about this income model and wanted in on the action!

For four months I worked hard on these sites.  And I’ve even made a little money.

But.

I don’t believe the “niche site” model is a viable long-term strategy for affiliate marketers.

In this post, I’ll tell you why.  Plus I’ll give reasons why you should stop creating niche sites and focus on building a real, long-term business.

Niche Affiliate IncomeCan you make money with small niche sites?

This is a question I want to answer in 2012.

You see, I’ve built a successful authority affiliate marketing business.  But I’ve never tried my hand at creating multiple small-scale websites.

Niche Affliate Income SeriesIt’s been almost 2 months since I’ve talked about my niche affiliate income series.

Much has happened during this time.  I’ve shifted my focus on a number of sites and learned a lot about building small niche web properties.

The one thing I’ve discovered is you can make money with niche sites in a number of ways:

  • Information based affiliate products
  • Amazon physical products
  • Amazon Kindle books
  • Google Adsense
  • Product Launch Jacking
  • Cost-Per-Action

The end result is I’ve decided to branch out and build a whole series of niche sites – Each focusing on different income models.  (I promise to provide specific examples in the next update.)

Now the MAJOR obstacle to building niche sites is search engine optimization (SEO.)  Frankly, it can take a long time to build links and get your niche site ranked in search engines.  Sometimes it seems like I’ll spend an entire day doing one thing for a single site. [click to continue…]
