$.99 Sale on 4 Kindle Books…

A lot can happen in a year.

This time last year, I decided to launch my second Kindle book on my birthday (June 28th).

Now, one year and 30 books later, I’ve managed to turn Kindle publishing into a nice little side business.

To commemorate this milestone, I’ve decided to hold a series of sales where you can get many of my Kindle books at a deeply discounted rate.

Here are the details…

Over the next three weeks, I’m going to drop the price to $.99 for the bulk of my Kindle catalog.  Plus, I’m going to tie this into the launch of the next book in the “Internet entrepreneur” series – Outsourcing Mastery.  (Click here to see a snapshot of the cover image.)

Here are the dates of what will happen:

  • June 17th to 19th: $.99 sale on four “Internet Business” books
  • June 24th to 26th: $.99 sale on three “Kindle Publishing” books
  • June 27th to July 1st: $.99 sale on Outsourcing Mastery

So if you’re patient, you can basically get eight books for under ten bucks.

  1. Thanks for this great offer Steve.

Your UK readers will be interested to know that the price for the items you list in this post are currently £0.77. Also currently free is “How to Start a Successful Blog in One Hour”.

  2. Love ebooks, love sales and love ebooks on sale!!! It turned out that I’ve already had all of your ebooks mentioned above (I must have done something right:-))

Just wanted to let you know that the url of the second ebook refers to the url of the first ebook on amazon.

    Cheers!

    • I like books on sales as well. A trend I’m starting to see is many Kindle publishers hold regular discounts on their books, so it’s a great time to get deals 🙂

Thanks for the correction. The error has been fixed and all the links *should* be fully functional now.

  3. Oh Yeah! Love that new cover.

I just checked my Kindle to see if I have any gaps in your Kindle Publishing series, and I do so I’ll look forward to the sale on those next week.

FYI, yours is one of the few email subscriptions I actually read because you’re always looking out for us! So many subscriptions are just sell, sell, sell until I lose my interest in anything they have to say.

    ~ darlene 🙂

    • Appreciate the kind words Darlene … I try to keep the email promos to a minimum and focus on writing good content. Like you, I’m not on many lists because all they do is sell without any sort of connection.

Hope next week you’ll find something of interest, if not, the outsourcing book will be done sometime soon.

  4. I read one of your book and it was very helpful for me, because I’m a Japanese and I hadn’t knew what I should do in writing blog for foreign countries.

In addition, it was very easy to read, so I could understand smoothy.

I’m looking forward to publish your new kindle book!!

    Thank you!!

  5. Just getting started with all of this and actually just began to write my first blog – on blogging – sort of a chronicle of my journey.
I now own all of your books (to date). They are tremendous.

I also used a couple of other resources – little bits and pieces.

I just put an amazon widget on my blog page showcasing some of your books.

I hope I am getting the hang of this.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom and experience,
    Katie

    • Thanks Katie — glad to see you’re getting value from the books and taking action. Appreciate the support on your blog. Please let me know if there’s any way I can help.

  6. Hey Steve I wanted to download kindle book using cloud reader but it wont work I think it is because I am in the uk. Anywho is it aright if I but a kindle in PDF format directly from you, would you want me to pay more. Via paypal of course.

  7. Hey Steve, so I was pretty sure I’ve read all your books – but somehow I missed the email marketing one. So I just downloaded it! Thanks! Looking forward to it.

    • Excellent! Thanks Brandon. I know it’s hard for me to keep track of everything that goes on with Amazon — I miss free days and deals all the time. Hopefully Amazon will come up with some sort of tracking system where you can stay on top of all the different deals.

  8. 30 books in one year – wow! Great job!

How come when I go on your author page on Amazon it only lists 15 books, and 3 are bundles? Where can I find the other 15 books?

      • Thanks for the update, Steve. I figured you were probably writing under a penn name or something. I respect that you want to keep your children’s writing private for now, but could you give some indication how it’s going? I love the children’s market, but have read that children’s ebooks do not sell and kids don’t read ebooks. Are you writing fiction or non-fiction? For young children or teens? Would love just a few clues because writing for kids is my passion but have been told over and over that it won’t work for Kindle. You may give me some hope!

        • I’m not Steve but I can give you some pointers how to do your own research into how well (or not) Kindle books, children’s included, sell on Amazon.
On a book’s page in the product details you will find a “Amazon Best Sellers Rank”. You’ll see a number for “Paid in Kindle Store”. This ranking can be used to tell approximately how well that books sells. Amazon doesn’t provide that information, but others including Steve have worked out an approximate conversion from ranking to sales.

I picked a couple of titles in the Children’s Book section in the Kindle Store to demonstrate. A book entitled “The Marble Queen” has a ranking of 161,783. That equates to well under 1 sale per day. Another example is “Wolf Camp”, ranking 107,081. Again, under 1 sale per day.

I picked those two books at random, so there may be many others that rank much higher and so get more sales. So don’t rely on the say of others, you can confirm the facts for yourself.

Briefly, a book ranked at 50,000 in the Kindle Store gets about 1 sale per day. A book ranked 20,000 gets about 5 sales a day. One ranked 10,000 gets about 10 sales per day. The number 1 ranked book gets something like 3,500 sales every day!

I hope Steve will not be too mad with me if I reveal his advice that you want to be writing books in categories where you can get books ranking at 20,000 or better – about 5 sales a day. I’ll leave it to him tell you where he reveals that info and a whole lot more.

        • Hey Bill — Bill P did a great job of explaining my thoughts on the children’s market. While there is some decent numbers there, I found it be not as profitable as I once thought. But that might have been due to not having an established brand. So maybe somebody else would have better numbers than what I have seen.
