Get My First Kindle Book on

Real quick today…

Late last night, I put the finishing touches on my first Kindle book on

It’s called:

How to Make Extra Money Fast on Your Computer: 55 Legitimate Ideas for Making Money from Home that Work in 2012

This is a collection of strategies that anyone can use to generate additional income.  Some take a few weeks to make money.  Others require a time investment of a few months.

I wrote it mostly for people new to Internet marketing. But I’ve also included some strategies that any seasoned online entrepreneur would appreciate.

Sidebar: I’ll admit the title is a bit wordy.  This was done intentionally. I’m testing a theory I have about ranking books on Amazon for high traffic keywords.  So I picked a phrase that a lot of people search for.

Anyway…I was surprised at how easy it was to publish a book on Amazon.  I came up with the idea for this book last Friday and in one week it’s published!

I think there is a science to profiting from Amazon Kindle books.  It’s not about slapping together a Word document and hoping for the best.  Instead it’s about making a book that’s part of your overall niche market strategy.

To that end, I’m going to detail a VERY detailed post on self-publishing through Amazon.  This should come out next Wednesday or Thursday.

Till then, feel free to go check out my new Kindle book.

Take Action. Get Results.

Thanks for checking it out and taking the time to comment.

  2. Steve, I recently published my first Kindle book. Actually, I think it’s more of a pamphlet than a book, which is why I’ve priced it at $.99. What I would like to know is what the differenaces are between publishing on the Kindle and publishing through clickbank or another affiliate program manager.

    • The way I see it, the difference is between volume of sales and price per sale.

Lets say you average Clickbank offer is $19.99. A lot of that cost goes to pay your affiliates to go out and promote for you. generally 50% to 75% of the commission.

But with Amazon you are only giving up 30% of the cost (at $2.99 and above cost).

Clickbank may still be the best option for a remedy to a specific problem, but my guess is that as more and more people publish on Amazon and more and more people come to use that model to find the solutions to their problems, people will come to expect the Amazon prices for products.

In a nutshell you get an attractive price, what I think is the premier ebook distribution network, but any promotion has to be done solely on you own… however in time this might become THE place for people to search for specific problems, so that may help some of the “getting found” issues.

For now I am still experimenting, since this is my first Amazon ebook… but I have high hopes

  3. Well done! Congratulations on getting your first Kindle book published, Kindle and things like it will defnatley be the future so you’re doing well there! I’ll definatley be downloading it!

  4. Hi Steve,

Wow, did you write the ebook in just one week? That’s amazing. I can’t wait to read your post on self-publishing. I’m going to be writing a short fiction story for the kindle. But it’ll take me much longer than a week 🙂

    • Jens,

Well, some of the content is rewritten from old posts…so it was not entirely written within a week…more like Rewritten within that time with added material.

But I am sure that a good short fiction will take a lot longer. YOu have to make sure those are perfect…so much competition! Good luck my man!

  5. I’m looking forward to a more detailed post about Kindle. I’ve started writing my first kindle book and I’m very excited about it. It’s a whole new world to conquer. I have a few ideas I want to try to promote it once it’s published.

But by now, I’m concerned about formatting it. Any tips on that? html, Word?

    • Word seemed to work fine. The way I did it was a little bit “trial and error” I would format it. Look at it…make changes and do it again until I had it how i liked it. Maybe in time I could get a better answer on formatting.

  6. Hi Steve,

after reading your Income Trilogy Report I purchased your book at and I’m really looking forward to read it 🙂
Currently I am experimenting with dropshipping (but in the Czech republic where I live it is not very prospective way to do online business – or maybe I do it badly). Moreover, I am now launching an e-zine with ads from Clickbank. I would be happy if you could write an article covering this topic.

Thanks and cheers from the Czech republic!

    • Thanks Jan,

Glad you liked income trilogy, and gave the new kidnle ebook a shot. (I will of course appreciate a review if you like it 🙂 ) Thanks for dropping by and commenting and I will see what i can do about working up an article on e-zine and clickbank in the future. Have a wonderful day.
