It’s been awhile since I’ve held a contest on this site.  So today, I’m offering a $50 gift Amazon gift certificate to the person who can help name my upcoming free report.  Let me explain…

Name My “Escape the Rat Race” Report

As I mentioned in yesterday’s “state of the blog” post, I’m about to create a lead magnet which details how I escaped the 9 to 5 rat race.  The problem is I’m having trouble coming up with a good title.  I’m not the greatest at creating snappy headlines.  What I’m thinking is one of you out there might be better at this than me…So hopefully you can help me out by naming this report.

The contest is simple.  All you have to do is comment below and give me a title that I can use for my free report.  The title should revolve around one of the following themes:

  • Escaping the 9 to 5 World
  • Leaving the “rat race” behind
  • Creating a passive income source to fund your new lifestyle
  • How to get more out of life
  • Ways to turn your passions into an income stream

Obviously, I’m going to pick the title that generates the most interest from my readers.  So creativity is an absolute must.  Furthermore, there are a few rules I’d like to mention:

1)      I reserve the right to not pick any winner.  If I decide to not use any submission then the Amazon Gift card won’t be awarded to anybody.

2)      I retain full ownership of the title that’s selected.  In return you’ll get the $50 Amazon gift card and the pride of helping name a major product on this site.

3)      You can submit as many titles as you choose.   Feel free to list as many (or as little) titles as you choose.

4)       The deadline to this contest is when I find a title that I love.  That could be today or two weeks from now.  That means it’s important to submit your suggestions as soon as possible.

      I didn’t copy you! I swear! I will think on titles for yours and swing by later and drop them off. Like I said though not sure if I am an expert at the title biz. But I will take a shot! 🙂

      It would be incredibly ironic if we both pick the best titles for each others idea

    Good competition. But I am not going to brain storm, as I hate not winning. I only do what I feel I can win 100 %. But your first policy to reserve the right not to choose anyone is not fair.

    How ever, I can see the excitement is in the air. That is good. I even saw a person who I never see in the comment section before. My computer is not working properly, if I did not comment that means it is completely gone. Otherwise I am excited to come see the start of the new blog.

    I am eager to know the new name.

      I am sure there will be a winner. I just threw that in in case there was only 1-2 titles offered that I really was not fond of.

      I had no idea Moon had a similar idea, I went to her site (different ebook topic though) and saw 4 or 5 that would have been GREAT. I am waiting with bated breath for those people to come here (hopefully) and leave some of those great ideas for my title.

      • I’m not sure if Fran is referring to me as the new name but Scott, seriously, it’s all good. I think I’m close to a title thanks to all the suggestions made at EIP. I will re-read this post to see if I can come up with something for you.

        Sometimes they just come to me and as evident, sometimes they don’t 🙁

  3. Let’s see let me get the ball rolling. I don’t expect or want to win…that would reek of nepotism. But maybe I can get some creative juices going for the next people who come.

    Great idea. I like Jazz #1. Short and sweet. Jazz #3 has a positive spin so that’s good too. As a newbie that would elicit interest with me. Look forward to your product launch and if I come up with anything worth reporting, I’ll be back.

    Isn’t it interesting that I have plans to come up with a similar product, and yet, here I am giving ideas to you rather than saving them for myself? I guess the blogosphere has its unique ways of creating special and selfless bonds between people.

    Well then, here are my suggestions for naming your product:

    1) Stop being a rat! Get over the race
    2) The great escape: Freedom from rats!
    3) Stop being a rat! Get more from life
    4) The great escape: Freedom from the 9 to 5 grind!
    5) The rat that quit the race and won the prize

    Note: I’ll give you the copyright of the one you chose as the winning entry. I’ll retain the rights to the others though, for my own product 🙂
