Steve’s Sunday Selections – June 20th, 2010

Happy Father’s day to those in the U.S.!  Here’s another collection of great posts in our weekly edition of Steve’s Sunday Selections

Chris has an interesting post about some of the free advice he’s received for his business.  Kind of makes you realize that most (well intentioned) advice you’re receiving could be holding you back.

Karol has some excellent points in his post about travel snobbery.  It really doesn’t matter where you go, as long as it’s part of your personal story.

Here’s something inspirational…read Mars’s guest post about how to become a digitial crusader.

In Lisah’s guest post, she has a tip-filled article about how to live a healthier lifestyle.  I know this is topic that’s been written about a lot.  But here she gives some simple to follow advice about how to quickly make this happen in your life.

If you want to have a successful blog, then read David’s post about five hurdles bloggers face on the path to revenue.  These are all excellent points and frankly are obstacles I’ve encountered in my own life.

It’s really easy to fall into the trap of working too much.  So, read Tammy’s guest post about 11 ways to avoid being a workaholic.

Brandon recently became the new face behind TheInfoPrenuer.  In this article he lists 15 things about him that’ll help you get to know him better.  This is one of my favorite sites, so it’s cool to find out more about the next guy.

Email marketing is an integral part of my online business.  That’s why I’m really excited to try out a technique that Pat describes on how to increase the open-rate of your emails.  This sounds sneaky, but highly effective.

Well that’s it for this week! I definitely recommend you check all these articles and support these sites through Tweets, blog comments, and submitting to sites like Digg.  They work hard to provide content…so show them some love!

Take Action. Get Results.

  1. You’ve got some great links listed, Steve. I have read some of them, but others are new. I enjoyed reading Brandon’s 15 personal things, Pat gave some great advice which I think a lot of people will be taking, and Dave’s advice was right on the money.

    • Yeah, all are really good. To be honest, I’m having a hard time trying to decide what to include… it’s almost TOO much information out there.

  2. Hey Scott,
Thanks for the mention…greatly appreciate it and I loved sharing some inside stuff with all of you readers about me. Remember…once yours is written up, please add a link on TIP back to your blog.

That way I can check it out and learn more about you guys also.

    Take care,
    Brandon

PS…thanks for the Happy Fathers day mention….if you are one also…coming back at ya’.

    • Will do Brandon! I like the idea of this post to give people an idea of who you are… I’m definitely going to steal it and write something similar in the next few weeks.

  3. Thanks for doing the legwork for us, Steve. At least, we know that we read the articles you recommend they are articles really worth reading. I am a first-time visitor to your site. Do you always do this every Sunday?

  4. Great to hear you found use for this! Yes, I do this every week. Honestly, there are a bunch of great articles that I don’t have time to include on this review…but I try my best to get everything out there!
