Today I’d like give you a behind the scenes look at some of the services that I use to run my online business.
I got the idea for this post the other day when I was thinking about how I’m able to travel for the next six months and still manage three separate webs businesses. To be honest, I couldn’t do this without the help of 3 very quality individuals.
So I’d like to reward their hard work by recommending them to anyone who regularly reads my site. (Just to let you know… I don’t profit or otherwise benefit from making this post.)
Why Outsource?
Before I get to the nitty-gritty, I’d like to give a reminder about the importance of outsourcing. As I mentioned in my article about “core genius,” a great way improve your online success is to only focus on the tasks that directly relate to building relationships and making money.
Most people get stuck doing day-to-day grinding tasks. Instead of building a business, they’re busy spinning their wheels, not focusing on important projects. Outsourcing provides an excellent opportunity to free up your time, allowing you to focus on what’s important.
Melissa (aka: The Short Hair Diva)
Melissa is the owner of the Short Hair Diva Blog. Here she talks about a lot of things personal to her own life. Specifically, a major topic she discusses is her work as a freelance writer.
When it comes to writing content, Melissa is one of the best outsourcers I’ve come across. I used to have a major problem with finding the right person for this job. (As I described in my article about human split-testing
Now she does a bunch of writing for this site…Including some of the posts that people seem to really like.
What I like about Melissa is I give her an idea for an article with a few key points, then I get back something that’s exactly the way I would have written it. All I do then is add a few of my own thoughts and link to related articles.
Awhile back I made a vow that I wouldn’t miss a day of blogging. It’s because of Melissa’s services that I’m able to keep this promise.
Soniya (and Crew)
I’ve always had a problem when hiring people to do monotonous day-to-day tasks. No matter how I tried to explain what I wanted for certain projects, I always got back overpriced, ineffective results.
This used to make me want to pull my hair out.
All of this changed when I discovered the services of Soniya at VTeckSoft. When it comes to handling routine tasks, I cannot begin to describe Soniya’s value. She (and a few of the workers she manages) take care of many of the day-to-day stuff that I simply cannot do for myself.
For instance, I have her currently working on building traffic through Twitter. It’s because of this one task that I get an extra 200-300 visitors a day. Also, she works on a few other projects related to my affiliate marketing business that lets me manage it almost completely automatically.
The one thing I think is incredible about the way Soniya handles a new project is she sends me back an email repeating (in her words) what needs to be done. From a managerial standpoint, this helps me feel like she fully understands a task and I’ll be the first to know if I wasn’t clear about what I need.
Stephen (aka: The “eCover Expert”)
I’ve used Stephen (the eCover Expert) for about four years now. He’s the guy who designs all of my graphics and website templates. In fact, the overall look of this blog was created through his expertise.
What I like about Stephen is I can go six months without making contact. Then with a quick email, he’s ready to create whatever I want. I know that Stephen is completely reliable and always sends back quality images that get noticed by my web visitors.
Like I said in yesterday’s edition of my “success blog” series, it’s important to create a uniform look and feel for your site. With just one email, Stephen can help you get that look.
Finding Peace of Mind in Italy
Want to know a cool feeling? I spent all day hiking a 40Km trail in the Cinque Terre region of Italy. I haven’t checked my email all day. And I’m writing this post sitting in an outdoor bar watching Italy take on Paraguay in the World Cup.
All in all, it’s been a pretty good day without any stress. One might say I have complete peace of mind.
The reason I can relax is because I know I have my mini-army taking care of things while I’m off playing.
So if you’re at the point where you want to concentrate on the important things, then I highly recommend you get in touch with the three people I just mentioned. You won’t regret it!
Take Action. Get Results.
And here I have been doing it all by myself, including the daily posting. Maybe I need an assistant to do my commenting and other stuff…

Great to see that you guys might work with one another!
Nice one, Steve!
I appreciate you for giving out these inner details about your business.
Fully agree with you on the need for outsourcing. It is the key to do more with your time, and to do more in your life.
But getting someone else to write the articles for me is something that, at least as of this moment, I am not in favor of. That is because I currently take most of my motivation for my blog from the feeling of exhilaration that I get from every post that I write. Having said that, I understand that it’s the publisher perspective v/s the writer perspective. We’ve touched this in one of my earlier comments, and we are on opposites sides there.
As for the day-to-day mechanical tasks and the technical aspects, I fully agree with you.
Now Melissa may not like my comment, but who knows how my opinions may change in the future? 🙂
Wishing success,
Mark

It’s good to get a disagreement here. Let’s me defend my beliefs 🙂
I see your point about the exhilaration and sense of authorship. But, I see my blog eventually getting to the point where I’m publishing 2-3 articles a DAY. So right now, I’d like to set up this process and learn how to manage things as a publisher rather than just a writer.
But like you say, everyone is entitled to do things the way they feel more comfortable. Really, there is no wrong answers here.
Ha ha! I really liked you statement about disagreements letting you defend your beliefs. Good one! 🙂
Agree with you. Certainly, there’s no one way about this. And I think that’s what makes the whole blogosphere so special.
I liked the fact that you have thought about how things will be down the line. A vision… that’s what gets things going in the direction you’d like to steer your business into.
Way to go!
Success always,
Mark
