5 Stupidly Simple Ways to Make Money on the Internet

by Steve Scott | Join Him On Facebook

I don’t know why I even bother writing this post.

The truth is I’m rich and you’re not.

Yeah, you heard me.Right now I’m sitting on an expensive yacht in a warm, foreign country.

And you’re probably sitting there crying like a little girl, wishing you were me.

So, I’m not sure why I would waste my time talking to you.

But…my mom once mentioned something about helping the little people.

So to all you pathetic saps who are looking for ways to make money on the Internet, here are five methods I’ve used to earn boatloads of cash:

Method #1- Help Out a Widow

I’ll remember that day for rest of my life… A few months back I was checking my email when a message popped up.

Inside this message was something life-altering.You see, this email was from a recent widow who needed my help.

Her husband was a rich businessman in Nigeria who left her with a sizable inheritance (Over $20 million). The problem was she needed to transfer this money into an account in the United States.

Since I’m such a charitable person (and she promised me 40% of the money), I came to her rescue.

All I had to do was send her my bank account number, my social security number, and a few other personal pieces of information. Then she wired me all of her inheritance.

Easy as pie!

With only a few hours of work, I’m now sitting on a pile of money.Plus I’m like a superhero who helps out damsels in distress.

Now before I struck it really rich, I used a bunch of other ways to make money on the Internet. Here are four more to help you out…

Method #2- Become an At Home Typist

Yes, it’s true. You can earn money entering data while working from the comfort of your home.In fact, many companies are willing to pay as much as $30 an hour to have you become a typist for their super important documents.

Forget about outsourcing. These companies are willing to pay you 10 times more than they would to a worker in India.YOU are that special.

To get started, all you have to do is pay $99.97 for a list of top-secret companies who need your help.

Method #3- Fill out Some Surveys

Talk about an easy way to make money!

Right now the Internet is full of businesses who are desperately seeking your opinion. And the best part? They’re willing to pay LOTS of money to hear what you have to say.

It really is possible. You can earn over six-figures each year by filling out surveys. It doesn’t take very long and you’ll have plenty of time to spend with the family.

Plus, you get to give your expert opinion on a number of important matters. The things you tell these companies could change the entire consumer industry.

Method #4- Advertise on Craigslist

By placing few tiny little classified ads on Craigslist each day, you’ll be on the road to riches in no time.

You don’t need a product to sell. You don’t have to work very hard. And everything is completely automated.

This method is like having your own personal ‘cash-printing’ machine….it’s that easy.

To get started all you have to do is purchase the top-secret-commando-Craigslist-annihilator software program. Then press one button and the money will be flying into your bank account.

Method #5- Do a Little Day Trading

Don’t ignore those weird messages you see in your Spam inbox. Some of them might contain insider information about a hot stock tip.All you have to do is jump in on the ground level and you’ll be day-trading your way to riches.

The key here is to ignore all those naysayers who tell you that this is an illegal tactic used by scam artists to artificially drive up the price of a stock.I’m sure they don’t know what they’re talking about.

I tell you this stuff is 100% legit.I bought plenty of stocks at very low prices. Now I use $20 bills to light my cigar while cruising on my yacht.

On a More Serious Note…

At first I was tempted to leave this post as-is.But then I had visions of blood-thirsty lawyers dancing through my head.

So let me completely transparent…All five of these methods are scams. If you believe you can earn money with no effort, you’ll become another victim of these predators.

As the title says, these are stupidly simple ways to make money. Now let me put an emphasis on the first word—Stupid.I’m going to be a little blunt here.If you have the mindset of “easy money”, then you’re acting like a stupid person.

In the last seven years, I’ve had some form of an online business. And during this entire time, I’ve never seen an easy way to make money on the Internet.

Whenever presented with a ‘fool-proof’ system ask yourself this question:“If this system is so easy why would this person be selling this kind of information?”

Seriously…if I knew how to make hundreds of thousands of dollars with no effort, I wouldn’t tell a living soul.I would keep that information to myself. Then I would sit back and count my money.

Now with that said, you CAN make money on the Internet.

But the only way you’ll do it is if you treat it like a business.  A business requires effort, it requires planning, and it requires the right kind of mindset.

So please do me a favor—Don’t fall prey to these people who are looking to rip you off.If something seems too good to be true… it probably is.

Haha great post! “top-secret-commando-Craigslist-annihilator” That’s classic. That is basically the name of half of these get-rich-quick products.

Michelle

Loved it…

As hard as it is to imagine, there are still plenty of innocent, naive people roaming around online – so probably good you added your disclaimer!!

Paul

Steve,

A great post; a subtle reminder how we have to be vigilent when answering or responding to our emails and other messages we receive.

Wouldn’t it be great if it was that easy? There again, if it was that easy, how boring would life be. I certainly wouldn’t be enjoying my life. I love the challenges I face each day; they bring colour and excitment to my life.

Thank you for sharing a great post.

Regards

Paul

@Patrick- Yeah, these names are pretty prevalent. It seems like every software product uses a bunch of fancy words to describe it.

@Michelle- Definitely worried about a naive person taking me too seriously. Didn’t want anyone to miss the sarcasm angle.

@Paul- I wish it was that easy. But the truth is nothing on the Internet this easy. If it was, millions of people would be doing it.

This is still one of my favorite posts I have ever read, I am going to make a post about some of my favorite posts and this one is definitely going into it.

A definite classic Steve.

Thanks for the laugh.

Unfortunately, there are people out there preying on the naive, and desperate.

I found a forum the other day that had members openly bragging about how they scammed people.

One of the guys even said ” My job is to sell something to somebody that doesn’t need it, with money they don’t have”. Sickening.

Great job of bringing this to peoples attention, with humour.

I will definitely RT

Absolutely…If I actually could make money really simply, I would tell a living soul. Instead I would keep that to myself.

Andrea

It is really sad how many people get scammed. I know someone who is obviously victim of a romance scammer, she just doesn’t recognise it. And it’s very difficult to talk to her because she is so in love. This guy take control over her, it’s incredible. She’s absolutely dependend!

The difficulty is that there’s no way to knock the scammers out. And they are professionals, they know exactly how to take people. Just always be aware and THINK!

Here’s a good website where you can find a lot of information about scammers http://www.lookstoogoodtobetrue.com.

Steve Scott

Andrea- Thanks for the info and the URL. It is really sad to hear about people who get scammed by the greed of others. I guess by being a little aware most individuals can avoid getting duped.

Gail

Great post, thought one of us was going off our rocker for the first couple of sentences until I realised the
Seriously though, am I the only one who doesn’t particularly want the whole online marketing thing to be that easy? I enjoy the game of building it up and see the money more as a way to keep score on how I’m improving than anything else. As for the four hour work week, you can keep it, I like the hours I put in (OK so it’s probably only about 20-30 a week anyway, but I wouldn’t want to do less) and it definately beat working for an employer of being a cog in the machine.
I think I might be terminally unemployable anyway, haven’t worked for an employer since 1999.

Hi Steve,

This is an absolutely brilliant post. I love it. I think there should be more posts about the reality of what it takes to build a successful online business.

Thanks Jazz. Actually I’ll definitely start to create some posts like that… But it’ll probably happen after I’ve finished with my blog success series.

Steve,

I had some great laughs reading this post.

The last laugh was the loudest, and went out to “Now I use $20 bills to light my cigar while cruising on my yacht.” 😀

:))

Still laughing,

Awesome! It’s been awhile since I read this one… forgot how I was in a pretty weird mood that day.

Kevin Douglas

It’s so hard to believe that in this day and age these scams still work. I don’t know if I should feel sorry for those people or have them banned from the Internet forever. Lol

Steve Scott

Most of those probably don’t work anymore because they have been highly publicized as being scams. The thing is that scammer will always create new scams and variations on the old ones. As PT Barnum said, “there is a sucker born every minute” Trust that they are out there and trying to separate people from their money.

The thing to remember is what I said about work. There are good ways to make money, but if it seems TOO easy is is probably Bullshit (for wont of a better word)

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a great comment Kevin!

John McNally

Very funny Steve, I enjoyed it right up until the disclaimer at the end, that brought me back to reality. It’s a pity you had to write that bit, but it was probably the safest thing to do. A blog post is read by so many different people, you never know which way the information could be taken.

If you ever decide to launch any ‘Get Rich Quick’ schemes I’m sure you would succeed, you came up with some great names. I was tempted to reach for my cheque book a couple of times. 😆

John

Mitchell

Wait. So you’re saying that man doesn’t really want to give me millions of dollars for helping him transfer it out of Nigeria? But this is the trusted internets!
